Poetry by Mykki Rios

AGING LIKE WINE (an erasure using the Textbook of Theoretical Botany, vol. 1)

mature fruiting body
      closing the apex

audacity  admits
  no excuse but success

it draws inspiration from many worlds

a storehouse of curious and ancient
lore

   retained  unity of purpose
despite the vast

concurrent growth

the present   aims to fill the gaps
 between these extremes
